Story: A married minister has an affair with a free-spirited artist.

Scenery: Exterior scenes filmed almost entirely in Big Sur including scenes at Nepenthe's and Pfeiffer Beach. Elizabeth Taylor's beach house was a set built on Garrapata beach, just south of Yankee Point. There are also a few night scenes in downtown Monterey.
