The Ghost and Mrs. Muir 


Story: A young widow from rents a house by the ocean and finds it is haunted by a former sea captain.

Scenery: Exterior scenes by the house were filmed in Big Sur. A six minute segment was filmed in and around Stillwater Cove in Pebble Beach. These include scenes on the beach, on the bluff overlooking the beach, and on the golf course (shown in the film as a horse pasture). There is also a very brief shot of the shoreline near Cypress Point and a few additional brief shots of waves crashing on rocks.
