Story: A dark and disturbing story about four vulgar middle-aged men who have known each other since college. They rent a house in Big Sur for a few days of reckless partying and drug use. But their lives take a dak turn as they confront the reality of their lives which didn't turn out as they had hoped in their youth.
Scenery: Most of the movie was filmed in a house on the coast south of Carmel. A scene involving reckless driving was filmed at Fort Ord Dunes along Monterey Bay. A fishing trip was filmed along the coast from Monterey to Point Sur, with a clear view of Rocky Creek Bridge in the background along the way. The fishing trip ends at Monterey harbor followed by a couple of night scenes on Fisherman's Wharf. The conclusion of the movie takes place at the Point Sur lighthouse.
