Story: A Neil Simon comedy about a Big Sur writer who is kidnapped and forced to rob a bank in Carmel. He is photographed by a bank camera and is forced to hide out with his ex-wife in Los Angeles, whose new husband is the district attorney.
Scenery: Opening scenes filmed along the coast south of Carmel. The bank robbery scene was filmed at the First Interstate Bank (now a retail shop) on the northwest corner of Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Street - across from the Carmel Library. Getaway scenes filmed in Big Sur.
